Welcome to the official web site of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia. This site is designed to provide convenient and easy access to information about the court and its operations.

The navigation buttons to the left lead to specific information. For example, the Court Locations button provides information about the four divisions of this district: Alexandria, Newport News, Norfolk, and Richmond. These pages include directions for driving to the courthouses and information about parking and mass transportation.

Other buttons permit the downloading of the Local Rules, commonly used forms, the court's fee schedule, and Jury Service information.

Because of extensive public interest in United States v. Masoud Khan, et. al., United States v. Jay Lentz, United States v. John Walker Lindh, United States v. Zacarias Moussaoui, and Yaser Hamdi v. Donald Rumsfeld, we have developed special pages containing information about these cases.

Thank you for taking the time to visit this web site.

Honorable James R. Spencer, Chief Judge

Fernando Galindo, Clerk of the Court
