IMPORTANT NOTICE: Planned Court Financial Operations Disruption Scheduled for June 11-26, 2025

Wednesday, April 30, 2025

Due to system conversion activities, the Judiciary Integrated Financial Management System (JIFMS) will be unavailable from Wednesday, June 11, 2025, through Thursday, June 26, 2025. This downtime is required as 12 software versions will be upgraded sequentially and verified for data quality. This will impact the financial operations of the Administrative Office of the United States Courts (AO), courts, and judicial agencies. Most notably, during the JIFMS downtime, all Treasury-issued check and Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) disbursements originating in JIFMS, such as jury disbursements, restitution payments, eVoucher payments, and judiciary travel reimbursements, will be delayed until the upgraded system is live on Friday, June 27, 2025.

Additionally, during the system downtime, the Court cannot process the necessary transactions in JIFMS to support the deposit and withdrawal of funds with the Court Registry Investment System (CRIS). This will preclude registry funds, collected during the system downtime, from being invested in CRIS, impacting earned interest. This is a necessary impact of the system downtime that cannot be avoided.

Regarding payments to vendors supporting the business of court administration, the Court is planning around the downtime by either issuing new solicitations, awards, and procurement obligations before the system downtime or holding and issuing them after system downtime.  All purchase/award activity during the downtime will be limited to emergency or critical activity purchases/procurements.  Payroll payments, which are processed outside of JIFMS, will not be affected.

The Court is unwavering in its commitment to maintaining financial integrity, including meeting its financial obligations promptly.  We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this downtime may cause.
